Singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips (and American Idol winner) has released the official music video for his second sure-to-be-a-hit single, “Gone, Gone, Gone,” off his gold-selling debut album, The World From the Side of the Moon. The new guitar-driven anthem is the perfect follow-up to his triple-platinum first single, “Home,” which was featured during last summer’s Olympics.

The three-minute clip features Phillip reminiscing about a former flame and is intercut with home footage of other couples and relationships. Just like the lyrics say, “I will love you long after you’re gone.” I think we can all relate to true love, eh? It’s much in the same vein as his debut single, but it’s different enough to become a sure-fire smash itself.
