Powerhouse R&B diva and American Idol judge Mariah Carey is dropping new music sooner than expected. Thanks to THR, Mimi has released an exclusive snippet of a song titled “Almost Home” from the upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful film (a prequel to the timeless Wizard of Oz original), to see a theatrical premiere on March 8. The song is co-written by Mariah, Simone Porter, Justin Gray, Lindsey Ray and co-produced by Stargate (Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen).

“It’s a feel-good record,” Mariah said in a statement. “It gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love.”

The full track will debut on Tuesday with a full length music video to follow soon.
